	Ko Tao	Thailand
	The small island of Ko Tao in the Gulf of Thailand is one of the most popular places in the world to get a dive certificate. There are around 40 dive shops on the island to choose from, most of which are geared towards beginners. The island's popularity comes from its abundance of easy dive sites just a short distance away. Ko Phi Phi	Thailand
Also in Thailand, the Phi Phi islands are an enormously popular spot to learn to dive. A little like Ko Tao, there are a large number of easy sites with calm conditions just a short boat ride away and plenty of dive shops to choose from.
