New 'Pacific Oceanscape' Agreement Makes History

5th February 2010

Sir Richard Branson has recently unveiled his latest his latest toy - an underwater plane.

The Virgin entrepreneur has bought a winged submarine that will allow guests staying at his exclusive resort in the Caribbean to explore the depths of the ocean. The underwater 'sea plane' is just one of many of his luxury toys. And for the super rich, it could be enough to entice them to the resort for a holiday with a James Bond style difference.

At just $26,800 for a two hour trip through the ocean, this underwater adventure is only for the super-rich. The sea plane has been called the Necker Nymph and will seat just two guests and the pilot. It will be able to dive to depths of around 40m and allow guests to explore reefs, cruise with pods of dolphins and visit the area's ship wrecks.

"The Nymph is an entirely new class of vehicle for us - think of a sleek convertible under water. It is different from our other submersibles because it was specifically designed to dive to scuba depths in tropical waters:, say the plane's designers.
